Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

Location: West Memphis, AR

Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour, based on experience

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in West Memphis, AR. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, such as conveyors, pumps, and motors.

· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.

· Replace faulty components including bearings, seals, gears, and motors.

· Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to identify issues.

· Install and align new equipment following technical manuals and blueprints.

· Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed, using MIG, TIG, or arc welding techniques.

· Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other tools to fabricate custom parts.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Technical Skills and Experience:

· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and machinery operations.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

· Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, and compressors.

· Basic knowledge of electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

· Experience with predictive maintenance tools, such as vibration analysis and thermography.

· Capability to machine parts using industrial tools for equipment repairs.

· Strong attention to detail when inspecting and repairing equipment.

· Effective communication with team members and production staff.

· Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks to minimize downtime.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated spaces.

· Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments while wearing required PPE.

· Strong manual dexterity to operate tools and handle parts and materials safely.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

· Technical certifications such as Industrial Maintenance Technician or CMRT.

· OSHA 10 or 30-Hour General Industry Safety Training.

· Forklift or heavy equipment certification is a plus.
