At WINGS, our mission is to provide housing, integrated services, education, and advocacy to end domestic violence. Our Family Advocates are essential in that mission by providing supportive services and case management to families, helping them achieve greater independence and wellness. Objective: To provide supportive services and case management to survivors of domestic violence and homeless men, women, and children using a strengths-based approach in an empathetic environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake interviews. Assess clients upon entry for needs and strengths, including parenting, medical/dental, social, and educational needs. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Conduct case management activities such as conflict management, budgeting, and life skills. Develop and monitor service plans with clients. Assist with benefits application and follow-up. Provide referrals and resources. Support clients in maintaining long-term housing. Follow up as required. Collaborate with outside agencies on service plans. Adhere to ICDVP code of ethics. Safety and Security Respond appropriately to security concerns and document actions. Work with residents on household needs and safety. Conduct safety inspections and teach fire safety. Administration Review eligibility and assistance quarterly. Participate in community efforts and fundraising. Maintain case notes and service statistics. Request volunteers and donations as needed. Ensure compliance with rights and responsibilities. Attend community meetings for resource updates. Complete reports and coordinate with partners. Immediately report child abuse to the Department of Children and Family Services. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of experience in social services or case management preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. CPR & First Aid certification preferred. Domestic Violence Training Certificate preferred. ICDVP credential preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills. Ability to work independently, organized, and detail-oriented. Experience working with sensitive issues and maintaining boundaries. Professionalism, flexibility, good judgment, and teamwork. Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance. Physical ability to perform daily responsibilities, including lifting and climbing stairs.
