Purpose of Your Work:

As Director, Commercial Solutions working within Redwood Supply Chain Solutions (one of our entities),you will be responsible for engaging with clients as a subject matter expert to navigate the customer journey alongside them, recommending company services and solutions to meet their needs. Your role will directly influence desired revenue targets and customer conversion rates. You will work directly with sales representatives, business leaders and commercial and engineering teams to facilitate and solution opportunities for Redwood.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

  • Contribute to overall objectives for Commercial Solutions team revenue and customer conversation rates.
  • Review and support strategic opportunities by instructing internal teams such as Deal Committee, Solutions and Sales Leadership to ensure timely and effective deployment of services to customers.
  • Consult with existing customers, recommending additional services designing plans, solutions and timelines to meet customer objectives and company revenue targets.
  • Create, develop and document the detail solution for each customer opportunity that demonstrates a strong value proposition.
  • Develop and present solution proposals to new and existing clients.
  • Accurately predict and forecasts revenue based on assumptions with active customer engagements.
  • Continuously refine the engagement process with new and existing customers to deliver solutions at an optimized pace.
  • Work with business leaders and product teams to improve solution and service roadmap.
  • Contribute to an overall improved customer conversion rate year-over-year.
  • Participate in required sales training; attend conferences or trade shows as needed to best understand customer needs and build brand awareness.

You’ve Got This?

  • 4-year degree in logistics or business-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years or recent work experience in logistics industry, with progressive leadership roles in sales, business development, account management or related function.
  • Demonstrated understanding of small, medium and large size customer demand for logistics services in current environment (including transportation, distribution, and technology).
  • Demonstrated customer service, presentation, negotiation, planning and organizing skills.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of freight management lifecycle including but not limited to: outsourced logistics operations, freight settlement, carrier management and procurement, TMS technology, systems integration, business intelligence and continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of cost elements, pricing of services and good financial acumen.
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and comfort presenting to a variety of roles and levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle stress.
  • Leads by example and embodies company’s core values.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and remote Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Compensation Range:

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $125,000

This position is eligible to earn annual incentives based on individual and company performance.

The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
