Job Description

Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT). Schedule is 40 hours per week, Wednesday - Sunday from 2:30am -11:00am, with holiday and on-call rotations based on business needs. Training will be approx. the first 4 weeks Monday - Friday from 6:00 am-2:30pm. Candidate must be flexible to work different days and shifts, based on business needs. Responsibilities include preparing and making deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl), packaging radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performing testing, loading/unloading containers, using a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtaining route stop information and navigation, processing packages returned from customer locations, maintaining vehicles in proper working condition and performing minor roadside repairs, and performing general facility cleaning and other duties as required. Qualifications include high school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred, valid driver's license with good driving record, prior delivery driving experience a plus, minimum age 18 years, ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds, comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours, ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods, strong customer service and communication skills, ability to work on-call and holidays as part of a rotation, flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed, ability to use computers and tablets, and customer/vendor credentialing required. The role applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, learns and applies new information and methods, maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications, works on routine assignments requiring some problem resolution, works within clearly defined standard operating procedures, adheres to all quality guidelines, works under moderate supervision, and refers complex problems to supervisor.
