About the Role We are currently seeking multiple experienced Community and Social Participation Support Worker for our participants in the Marion area. In this role you will provide support to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their goals, participate in the community and live fulfilling lives. In this role you will have varied responsibilities depending on the client, but key task and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting client with participation in the community Diligent record keeping of progress notes and reports Following positive behaviour support plans and care plans Help clients reach their goals and support their choices Maintain a safe environment for the client and workers Assist with attending and maintaining medical appointments Providing emotional support About You We are looking for someone that is: Experience with complex mental health participants Patient and understanding Has an outgoing, social personality Reliable and punctual Varied interests and skills in activities. E.g. fishing, bowling, gardening, art, sports. Knowledge of local area and events Able to build rapport with clients Able to use apps and basic technology Flexible availability across 7 days Essential Criteria and Clearances Certificate III or IV in Mental Health or Disability Support Access to a reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Current Working with Children Check COVID-19 Vaccinations up to date We offer Flexible casual position Opportunity to gain extra shifts Milage in line with award rate Competitive pay rate 24/7 on call management team for supportPlease apply on through Seek with a cover letter, CV and two professional references.
